Building the Critical Systems Behind Autonomous Flight

Akita Labs develops two core autonomous-aircraft platforms: OMEGA for long-range resilient command, control and telemetry, and OWL for integrated propulsion and flight control.

Developed in Canada for allied defence, aerospace and industrial partners.

Two core platforms. One autonomous systems architecture.

OMEGA extends secure command and data connectivity. OWL integrates the propeller, motor, ESC and flight-control layers that determine propulsion performance.

OMEGA

Long-Range Resilient C2

OMEGA is a modular long-range control and resilient C2 platform for uncrewed systems. Its current production-compatible implementation supports secure bidirectional control and telemetry, while its hardware-neutral core provides a path to multi-band radios, mesh relay, ranging and transport diversity.

Authenticated control and 41-field telemetry
Frequency hopping and replay protection
Aircraft-to-aircraft peer communication
Portable multi-radio and mesh architecture

OWL

Integrated Propulsion System

A proprietary propeller and motor architecture developed as one system with Akita ESC and flight-controller firmware. OWL combines Akita Labs proprietary propeller and motor design with field-oriented ESC firmware and flight-controller software to improve efficiency, acoustic performance, thermal behaviour and propulsion response.

Proprietary propeller and motor design
Akita ESC and flight-controller firmware
Field-oriented motor control
Acoustic, thermal and efficiency optimization

Owning the systems that define aircraft performance.

Communications, propulsion, control, navigation and onboard software determine what an autonomous aircraft can actually accomplish. Akita develops these technologies as one connected stack.

This creates reusable technology, reduces supplier dependence and gives partners a more direct path from integration to operational capability.

Reach
OMEGA long-range C2, secure telemetry, peer links, adaptive networking and resilient data movement.
Endurance
OWL propeller and motor design, ESC firmware, flight control, thermal management and acoustic performance.
Intelligence
Flight control, navigation, sensor fusion, embedded software and onboard autonomous behaviour.

Interoperable where adoption matters. Proprietary where performance matters.

OMEGA creates an extensible C2 foundation for interoperability and ecosystem growth. OWL concentrates proprietary value in the physical and embedded systems that directly determine aircraft performance.

Interoperable Architecture

OMEGA supports adaptation, interoperability and faster integration across aircraft and mission systems.

Proprietary Performance

OWL combines owned mechanical design and embedded control into a differentiated propulsion system.

Productization

Commercial value is created through qualified hardware, integration, validation and lifecycle support.

Platform Leverage

Both systems are designed for use across aircraft, OEM programs and future Akita platforms.

A focused autonomous systems company.

Akita Labs brings communications, embedded hardware, firmware, propulsion and autonomy under one product strategy. This full-stack approach reduces supplier dependencies, shortens development cycles and creates technology that can be adapted across platforms.

OMEGA and OWL establish a focused platform portfolio for a global market shaped by rapid UAS adoption, sovereign technology requirements and demand for greater range, endurance and resilience.

Akita Engineering is the advanced concepts group within Akita Labs, focused on experimental systems and early-stage technical programs.

Strategic enquiries.

We welcome discussions with government programs, defence and aerospace companies, UAS manufacturers, strategic investors and corporate development teams.
